Dealing With Difficult People

Presentation/Workshop

Dealing With Difficult People

Speaker Karen ClarkeIn this 1 hour presentation/workshop Karen shares the From Bullied to Brilliant story and the circumstances which led her to discover formidable strategies to manage difficult or hostile personality types and successfully overcome bullying, prejudice and abusive behaviours.

Karen is the co-founder and Director of Powerful Positive People and author of From Bullied to Brilliant which addresses how to overcome bullying and intimidation from a personal and community perspective. Karen is an NLP trainer and life coach who developed a ground breaking system for overcoming bullying and specialises in confidence and performance coaching. ‘From Bullied to Brilliant’ provides a radical new way to rapidly end the bullying cycle, rediscover strength and find hope and self-acceptance.

The book is based in part on the principles of Mahatma Gandhi’s non-violent resistance and includes a foreword by his grandson, Dr. Arun Gandhi. In it Karen shares real examples of bullying and intimidation, shedding light on how to understand the causes of bullying and how to overcome it.

Karen’s work is based on her in-depth investigation into the bully-victim dynamic and the conclusions she has drawn as a result. The information presented embodies principles of peace as espoused by Mahatma Gandhi. Karen studied the patterns that emerge when dominance based relationships are at play and is able to clearly demonstrate what occurs within the bully-victim dynamic and what can be done to intercept the behaviours. Inevitably, bullies and victims alike lack a clear understanding of personal boundaries and how and when to implement them.

Participants will learn how to support people who feel bullied and intimidated and gain a practical visual aid to use in any bullying or abusive situation. Karen is a professional speaker and trainer and her workshops are fun and inspiring.
